2 Months Already?

Today our sweet Beau Elias is 2 months old. Brandon and I took him to the doctor this morning for his 2 month well check. Beau's doctor was very pleased with how he looked and said he could tell he was getting bigger. For records sake, our little guy now weighs 7 lbs 14 ozs, is 22 inches long, and has a head circumference of 15 inches. We were surprised at his head and length measurements, as Beau gained 2 inches around his head and 3 inches in length in a matter of 6 weeks! Those two measurements put him between the 5th and 10th percentile, while he's still just a little off making the growth chart on his weight, but we're confident that'll change soon! When our little guy got his three shots today, he only cried for about 20 seconds! It was unbelieveable how well he handled it, even the nurse was surprised! After we got home, Beau was a little sore and slept for a little while, but I gave him Tylenol and cuddled with him a bunch, so by late afternoon he was feeling much better and was ready to play. Here are some pictures of our day, today was also the first time Beau took a bottle. We were nervous as to how he would be, but I had been pumping for a little while, so we decided to try tonight. Brandon fed him and he did great! Once again our boy has proven what a champ he is. It amazes me that two months have gone by already, and boy, are we so in love with him! I don't think we were ready to conprehend just how much we would love him and how captivated we would be by him, but God has shown us so much through his sweet baby blues and his bright, gummy smile! Happy 2 month, Beau!

We didn't like seeing our boy get poked!
His bandaged leg
He was a little sleepy when we got home
Poor baby, but what a trooper!
He took it like a champ!
Beau's first bottle
He did so well!
He kept looking at me the whole time though with slight confusion
Brandon loved it!
Burping the guy
Getting sleepy towards the end of his bottle
He does this same thing with his hand when he nurses!

All gone! (Sorry its lopsided, I couldn't figure out how to change that)

Have a great Monday!

Happy Birthday Brandon!

Today is my darling's 27th birthday. I am so blessed to be married to such an amazing man. He continually shows me selfless love and I am reminded every day how happy I am that we were brought together to share our lives. I couldn't imagine a better dad to my sweet Beau Elias and I so enjoy watching them interact at night when Brandon gets home from work. Beau loves his Daddy so much and always looks so forward to their special time at night. I pray that as long as we're both on this earth we get to share so many more memories. He's the most wonderful man and faithful servant to both God and his family.

Happy Birthday my strong, faithful, and loving husband! Your son and I love you more than words can say and we are so thankful to have you as our dad and husband!

I really believe we fall more in love with each passing day.

"Happy Birthday, Daddy!"

Cuddle time with Daddy

This is THE sweetest video. I didn't think it would go as long as it did, but am so thankful. This is just a glimpse at the sweet moments I am lucky enough to witness all the time. Isn't this the most presh thing ever? :)

Shoppin' and Sittin'

Beau's gone shopping with me a few times, but he had never been outside of Cleburne. This weekend we decided to venture to Target in Burleson, so we had to plan in advance for the trip. I fed Beau right before we left so as to make sure we didn't have to up and leave for an immediate feeding while out, and Brandon brought our wrap so we would have free hands and a free cart to get what we needed. Beau was so good; he looked at the bright lights for about 10 minutes and then proceeded to take a nap...and didn't wake up until we were home! We have SUCH a good boy!

Today Beau and I were playing like always, when I decided to put him in his crib for some quiet time. I tried sitting him up for just a bit to see how he would do, and these are a couple snapshots of those moments. Our little boy did so good! He fell over pretty quick after the second photo and at that point it was time to take a nap. Beau will be 2 months old a week today...wow!
Being SUCH a big boy!
Trying so hard!
Hope everyone's having a good start to their week...with a sweet buddy like this, how can I not? :)

Buddies

Yesterday Beau got to meet his buddy Graham. This was such a spesh moment as Brandon and Adam have been best friends for most of their lives and now get to share in meeting each other's new additions! (Both boys; our first, their third!) Graham is SUCH a sweetie, we just know he and Beau are gonna have lots of fun in the years to come!

Outdoor Fun

Beau had his first Fourth of July this past weekend and LOVED spending so much time outside! Our boy is ALL boy; when he gets fussy inside, the second he slips outside, he calms down! Unbelieveable! It was so nice to get to spend some time with Brandon too, his work schedule's been hectic recently and even when he is home, he's got lots of things going through his mind, not to mention CPE he does in the little time he has left over. I loved hanging out with my two guys, there's nothing better. To keep with the theme of this weekend and hanging out outside, I spread out one of Beau's receiving blankets on the lawn in the backyard today (in the shade) and we sat outside and "talked" and played for awhile. It was so fun and he enjoyed it immensely. He also made his first full run through WalMart today and was so good! I was a little nervous with it just being me and having to actually get quite a few things, but I just put him in my sling and he took a nap for most of the trip. It took a little coaxing to get him ready when we were out in the parking lot, but after a few minutes of cuddling and kisses, he was ready to go!

I've included some pictures from our 4th and then today outside. Beau turns 6 weeks old Wednesday - I cannot believe how fast time is going by! He's getting so big and it is just so amazing to see him developing his own personality. I really enjoy staying at home with him, I can't imagine how I would feel if I would have to go back to a full time job after this week! Once again I'm reminded of how blessed I am to have the ability to not have to do that and stay home with my little guy.

Well, enjoy!
