To Sylvie Kate, on your 1st birthday

Dear Sylvie Kate,

My my, my youngest is now one. Happy birthday, darling! These are some things I want to remember about you turning one.

You are a go-getter. You have striven to do everything your siblings do and you've done it at lightning speed! You crawled right around 7 months and by 9 1/2 months, you were walking! It kind of scared me to see you walking and being so little, but that didn't stop you! You climb and inch your way onto any and everything; I can't imagine what this next year will hold!

You are a mama's girl. I imagine part of that has to do with nursing, but we'll see what the future holds. You are my most motivated nurser as well. I foresee us nursing for several more months, further than your siblings went.

You like books. You and Cora will sit and flip through books while I work with Beau. I hope that will develop more as you grow older.

You are a silly girl! You make the funniest faces and sounds; they crack us up! You also are sneaky; if we don't keep our eyes on you, the second we turn away you'll be into something. I'm going to have to stay on my toes around you.

You are not the best sleeper. You still like to get up several times at night to nurse and I have a feeling you're going to be like your siblings and not sleep well until you turn two, but hopefully you'll surprise me!

You like to eat, but only certain things, You're not a huge milk fan, but you drink water well. I'm so glad for this! Water is such a good thing for your body. You like fruits and you'll eat veggies well, but not so much on the meat.

You love your family. You are starting to interact more with all of us and we see how much you care for us! You love hugging on your dad and me, you like snuggling with Beau and Cora, and you will run out to Pops, Gran, and Meme.

You are starting to form more words. You talk your own language much of the time, but you know so many simple words; mom, dad, bo, co (Cora), pah (Pops), dat (that), pee (please), yes, no, moh (more), and several others. We can definitely figure out what you're wanting most of the time.

I love you my sweet Sylvie Kate, I hope you know how much I love you, how much your dad loves you, how much your siblings love you, but ultimately how much the Lord loves you! HAppy 1st birthday my precious Sylvie Kate!

Love,
Mommy
