10 Months

Beau, you're 10 months old today! As of right now, this is what you're up to:

• You're taking a few steps on your own, but aren't quite ready to take off all over the house by yourself just yet
• You're still a little guy wearing some 6 month clothing (and even a pair of jeans that are 3-6 mos!), but we love every ounce of you!
• You babble all the time and its the cutest
• Still getting up about twice a night, but we're working on it
• Can show us a sign for what you want
  
• LOVE the outdoors, especially swinging!

Today Beau and Daddy went to the park while Mommy studied and Daddy managed to take quite a few pictures of the sweet guy. Here's a few!

Crandall Trip

Lisa, Lindsey, Beau, and I all piled in the car and went to Crandall today! It was so much fun! Beau had such a blast playing with Memaw, hunting for eggs, climbing trees, and trying out new toys! He even got a kiss from Pepaw before we left! We enjoyed such a relaxing time filled with playing with Beau, eating Mexican food, and just spending time together. I always enjoy going to Crandall, Memaw and Pepaw are the best. Brandon and I are planning a trip up there in the next few weeks, so I'm so excited. "Dada"

Beau said "Dada." He actually said it on Monday to me, but today he's actually said it a few times for Brandon. So now it gets to be official. "Dada" is over the moon as you can imagine!

Swing Swing

We took Beau to a little park near Mike and Lisa's house today. He actually had never really been on a swing before outside, so we decided to try it out. He did great and had so much fun! Brandon even took Beau down the slide a few times. I just love my guys!

Botanical Garden

Brandon took a half day so we decided since it was FINALLY so nice out, that we'd go to the Botanical Gardens and just walk around. We had so much fun! Here's a few shots from our time together.

Shiner

Well, Beau received his first shiner today. Honestly, this was pretty much TOTALLY my fault. (BAD mom!) He had come to lay with me for a little bit and had woken up, but I held him and kissed on him for a little bit and thought he cuddled up beside me. Apparently I was wrong. Next thing I know I must've fallen back asleep and then was awakened by the sound of my child yelling. I flew off the bed and saw him lying on the floor in the front of our bed. LUCKILY, he had grabbed the blanket that was on our bed and that had cushioned his fall, but unfortunately there was a game remote sticking out that he hit. Hence the shiner. I felt like the worst mom EVER telling Brandon what happened when he came home from lunch. But he laughed. He said things were going to happen and that we should just be grateful that he didn't get seriously hurt. And Beau thought nothing of it. After picking him up, I was checking him over thoroughly and he just thought that was the funniest thing. So thankfully there's no major damage, just a little battle scar. I guess this is just the beginning! (Although hopefully I won't be causing many more accidents, yikes!)
